Hong Kong Travel 2026: Exploring Hong Kong Disneyland – TOP 3 Most Fun Rides

Hong Kong Travel 2026: Exploring Hong Kong Disneyland – TOP 3 Most Fun Rides

Hong Kong is not only famous for its skyscrapers, bustling shopping districts, and rich cuisine, but also an ideal destination for those who love the magical world of Disney. Hong Kong Disneyland is where you can become your favorite Disney character, immerse yourself in fairy-tale stories, and experience thrilling rides.

I visited Hong Kong in May and September, and these are the TOP 3 must-do rides when visiting Hong Kong Disneyland.

How to Get to Hong Kong Disneyland?

You have several transportation options:

  • By MTR (Mass Transit Railway): Take the Disneyland Resort Line from Sunny Bay Station to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The journey takes about 6 minutes.
  • By Public Bus: Bus routes R33 and R42 run from Hong Kong Disneyland Resort to the city center. You can also take route A or E from Lantau Link Toll Plaza to Hong Kong Disneyland.
  • By Taxi: If taking a taxi from Hong Kong Airport, budget around HK$130.

Opening hours: Hours vary by day, typically 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Check in advance so you don’t miss any special events. Hong Kong Disneyland has an app where you can check wait times for each ride to save time!

The “Disney in the Stars” fireworks show typically begins at 9:00 PM, so I recommend heading to Main Street U.S.A. early to secure a good spot and enjoy this spectacular end-of-day show.

Main Street, U.S.A.: The first area you enter through the Disneyland gates is Main Street, U.S.A. – a charming street with classic Americana vibes. Along the way are Disneyland souvenir shops whose collections change over time, so if you see something you like, buy it — some items I wanted later were no longer available.

Review of the best rides – Video

If you’re planning to visit Hong Kong Disneyland, here are some things to keep in mind:

Best time to visit: To avoid large crowds, skip weekends and public holidays. During Lunar New Year, the park can be extremely busy — I once waited 2–3 hours for a single ride.

Buying tickets: To avoid long queues, I recommend buying tickets online in advance. Klook is a great option — not only for discount codes but also for instant confirmation, and you can scan your code at the gate.

Fastpass tickets: If you want to experience rides without waiting too long, use Fastpass. You can buy them at ticket counters or online through Klook. Use Fastpass for Hyper Space Mountain, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Iron Man Experience, as wait times can be extremely long.

Themed Zones and Attractions:

  • Tomorrowland: Home to the standout Space Mountain and Iron Man Experience. Notably, Iron Man Experience is Disneyland’s first Marvel-themed experience zone.
  • Adventureland: Explore the Lion King, Tarzan, and the Jungle River Cruise. This is the largest jungle-themed zone across all Disneyland parks.
  • Fantasyland: The place where you can meet beautiful Disney princesses, go on adventures with fairy-tale characters, and explore mysterious castles.

TOP 3 Rides You Cannot Miss at Hong Kong Disneyland

  1. Mystic Manor: The unique artistic effects combined with unexpected scares will give you and your family thrillingly fresh emotions. You’ll feel an atmosphere full of magic and mystery, making every discovery feel real. However, the ride is quite short — it ends before you’ve had your fill of excitement.
  2. Iron Man Experience: This isn’t just a new 3D simulation zone at Hong Kong Disneyland — it’s a unique experience for Marvel fans, where you’ll fly with the Iron Wing, explore cutting-edge inventions, and experience a slice of the Marvel universe. This is the first Marvel-themed expansion at Disneyland, bringing you closer to your favorite superhero.
  3. Hyper Space Mountain: This roller coaster features not only steep drops and sharp turns but operates entirely indoors. You’ll be transported into a futuristic space, joining an intense battle with X-Wing and TIE Fighter forces. Hyper Space Mountain is not just thrilling but a stimulating challenge, making every ride unique and unforgettable.

If you’ve traveled to Hong Kong without visiting Disneyland, you haven’t truly experienced Hong Kong. Come to Hong Kong Disneyland and spend a day immersed in Disney’s magical world — you’ll definitely have unforgettable memories.
